PWCN was started in July, 2002, in order to bring more attention to local groundwater issues. All of our drinking water on the Palouse comes from underground sources (aquifers). It is this same pristine, underground water that we use for cooking, bathing, household tasks, and all outdoor uses.

Seeing so much of this water rushing down city streets and gutters each summer begs questions about where it comes from, where it's going, and how long it will last.

PWCN wants to share the answers to these and more questions so that community members can make intelligent, responsible decisions regarding management of this precious resource.

PWCN is also committed to being a strong local voice for protection of our water resources.
